1. Introduction
PlayMinima (“we,” “us,” or “our”) built SpeakEgo as an AI-powered language learning application supporting English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related website (the “Service”).
2. Information we collect
To provide a personalized language learning experience, we may collect the following information:
- Account data: If you sign in using Google or email, we collect your email address, display name, and a unique user ID.
- Microphone and voice data: Our core speaking feature requires microphone access. Spoken audio is streamed in real time to Google Cloud services, including Gemini AI, for speech and conversation processing.
- Learning profile and preferences: We save onboarding information you provide, such as age range, profession, interests, language level, study goals, and app usage history.
- Session data: We store conversational text, including original and corrected transcripts and error types, to support flashcards, review, and progress features.
- Device and analytics information: We may collect operating system version, device type, crash logs, app events, and the device advertising ID.
3. Ephemeral audio processing
Raw microphone audio is streamed securely to our AI service providers solely to provide real-time conversation and transcription features. We do not save, sell, or permanently retain raw audio recordings. Once processing is complete, the raw audio is discarded.
4. Third-party service providers
We use trusted providers to operate specific parts of the Service:
- Google Cloud and Vertex AI process text and audio used by the AI tutor.
- Google Firebase provides authentication, Firestore databases, analytics, crash reporting, and cloud messaging.
- RevenueCat manages in-app subscriptions and cross-platform entitlements and may process device identifiers for purchase attribution.
- Google Play processes current financial transactions. Apple App Store will provide the same role when the iOS version becomes available. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
5. Advertising ID
SpeakEgo and integrated SDKs, including Firebase and RevenueCat, may use your device advertising ID for analytics, app functionality, and purchase attribution. SpeakEgo does not serve third-party display advertising inside the app.
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain profile and progress information while your account remains active. You can permanently delete your account, session history, and learning profile in SpeakEgo by opening Profile → Delete Account. See our account deletion instructions for details.
7. Children’s privacy
SpeakEgo’s educational content is designed for a general audience, but account registration, AI voice processing, and subscriptions are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update its effective date.
